Dr. Elizabeth Arroyo
Dr. Arroyo is a seasoned nurse educator with more than a decade of experience opening, developing, and leading nursing programs across Florida and the United States. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing Education and a Doctorate in Adult Education, bringing a powerful blend of academic expertise and real world instructional leadership to every learning environment.
Her clinical background as an ICU nurse — caring for both adult and pediatric patients — enriches her teaching with deep clinical insight and a strong commitment to patient safety. Known for her compassion and learner centered approach, Dr. Arroyo strives to create meaningful educational experiences that empower every student to reach their fullest potential.
As cofounder of Viva Pulse, Dr. Arroyo channels her passion for community education into accessible, high quality CPR training. Her vision is to equip the public with lifesaving skills that protect individuals across all ages and populations. Through comprehensive CPR certification, Viva Pulse aims to strengthen community readiness and save lives.
Pedro Macedo
Pedro Macedo is the Co-Founder of Viva Pulse, where he is committed to expanding access to high-quality CPR and emergency response education throughout Central Florida. With a passion for community service, leadership, and professional development, Pedro plays an integral role in the strategic growth and daily operations of the organization.
Prior to co-founding Viva Pulse, Pedro proudly served as a Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) Analyst in the United States Army, where he developed expertise in critical thinking, decision-making under pressure, leadership, and mission-focused operations. His military service instilled a deep commitment to discipline, teamwork, and serving others—values that continue to shape the foundation of Viva Pulse.
As an American Heart Association Instructor, Pedro is dedicated to creating an engaging and supportive learning environment where every student leaves feeling confident in their ability to respond during a medical emergency. He believes that lifesaving education should be accessible, practical, and empowering for everyone—from healthcare professionals to first-time learners.
As Co-Founder of Viva Pulse, Pedro is passionate about building lasting partnerships with local businesses, schools, healthcare organizations, and community groups to help increase CPR
awareness and improve emergency preparedness throughout the region. His vision is to establish Viva Pulse as Central Florida's premier destination for CPR, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and First Aid training by delivering exceptional instruction, outstanding customer service, and unforgettable learning experience.
